Clousure of the PIP
The Catalina project developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Enagás Renovable held an institutional event today in Andorra (Teruel) to mark the end of the Mobile Information Point tour, which has been visiting the municipalities where the project will be installed over the last three months.
During these three months, the PIP has been visited by more than 2,000 residents of Bajo Aragón Turolense and the Andorra-Sierra de Arcos region, who have visited this travelling exhibition in which experts from the Aragón Hydrogen Foundation have carried out an informative work, bringing hydrogen technology and the Catalina project to both the general public and students from schools, colleges and vocational training centres in the region.
The closing ceremony, which took place at the Eloy Fernández Clemente Cultural Centre in Andorra, was attended by:
– Fernando Beltrán Blázquez, Spanish Government Delegate in Aragon;
– Raquel Campos, Director General of Strategic Planning and Logistics for the Government of Aragon;
– Rafael Guía, Mayor of Andorra; and
– José Gómez-Arroyo Bernabéu, Director of the Catalina Project.
During his speech, our project director provided an update on the status of the project and announced that next week seven scholarships will be offered through the hashtag Catalina Vchair created in collaboration with the University of Zaragoza, and, throughout this month, the announcement of 15 scholarships aimed at students of vocational training in collaboration with the Department of Education, Culture and Sport of the Government of Aragon, where, in addition to academic records, priority will be given to those belonging to the territory of the municipalities where the project is being implemented.
During the event, there was also a round table discussion on “The importance of regional integration in the development of renewable projects” led by our head of socio-economic measures implementation in the region, Raquel Martínez Barranca, with the participation of:
– Judit Carreras Garcia, Director of the Just Transition Institute;
– Luis Mariano Mallada Bolea, Director General of Planning, Centres and Vocational Training, Government of Aragon;
– Jorge Rosell Martínez, Deputy Director of Business and Mobility, University of Zaragoza;
– Zoilo Ríos Torre, Vice-President of the Aragon Energy Cluster – Clenar;
– Roberto Miguel Gil, President of the Andorra Business Association.
