Launch of the Catalina chair

On 5 June 2025, the University of Zaragoza, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), and Enagás Renovable launched the Catalina Chair, an initiative to foster collaboration between academia and the Catalina green hydrogen project. The chair aims to generate knowledge, research, and training to support the European hydrogen economy, focusing on talent development in Aragon, especially Teruel.

Initial activities include scholarships, workshops, and conferences to attract and retain skilled professionals. Project leaders and university representatives emphasized the chair’s role in linking technological challenges with applied research, promoting job creation, and consolidating a sustainable industrial ecosystem in the region.
